The oficial TV Asahi News Twitter account announced that voice actor Kaneta Kimotsuki passed away. He was 80.
Kimotsuki is best known for his work in the Doraemon anime series as he provided the voice of Takeshi "Gian" Gouda in the original 1973 anime before becoming the voice of Suneo Honekawa in the 1979 anime.
Outside of Doraemon, he played the role of Cyborg 009 (1979)'s Great Britain/007, Galaxy Express 999's Conductor, Anpanman's Horrorman, and Osomatsu-kun's Iyami. For tokusatsu fans, he is best known as Chouriki Sentai Ohranger's Acha. As for Disney fans, he is the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio's Japanese dub, which he later reprised in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
