It was reported that veteran composer Seiji Yokoyama passed away due to pneumonia last Saturday at the age of 82. A funeral service was held in Fuchu on Monday.
The veteran composer made his debut by composing the ending theme of The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee. He will be later be known for his work in the Saint Seiya anime franchise. His work for said franchise earned him a JASRAC award in 1992.
His other anime work include: Ginguiser, Space Pirate Captain Harlock, and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. Outside of anime, he composed tunes for various tokusatsu shows, such as: Choujinki Metalder, Special Rescue Police Winspector, and Choriki Sentai Ohranger.
