Ultraman Z: His Different Forms, Returning Ultra and More Revealed

The official Tsuburaya website has revealed more details about the upcoming Ultraman series, Ultraman Z, revealing this new Ultraman's various forms and a returning Ultraman.

Ultraman Z's transformation device is called the Ultra Z Riser. Originally developed in the Land of Light, this device is used to deal with chaos on a galactic scale. By registering each user's distinctive Ultra Access Card and by inserting and scanning three Ultra Medals, Ultraman Z will gain a new power. In addition, this can be used as a weapon after transformation. While transformed, Haruki, Ultraman Z's host can switch to attack mode and activate three medals to perform a special signature attack. 

So anyway, what is an Ultra Access Card? This card works as an authentication key to activate the Ultra Z Riser. This key features the image of the user and in Haruki's case, his card has his picture and uses it to transform into any of Ultraman Z's forms. The Ultra Medal on the other hand, are also developed in the Land of Light along with the Z Riser, and each medal contains the power of a previous Ultraman. Haruki carries them in the Z Holder on his hip.  

Ultraman Z's forms are: 

• Ultraman Z Alpha Edge, which uses the powers of the inherited masters and disciples, Ultraseven, Leo, and Zero. This speedy form fights with Space Martial Arts inherited from his master and specializes in quick moves using karate. 
  
• Ultraman Z Beta Smash, which uses the powers of the legendary Ultra Brothers, Ultraman, Ace, and Taro. This powerful form has a dignified fighting style and specializes in courageous and impressive pro-wrestling type battles.
  
• Ultraman Z Gamma Future, which uses the powers of the lights who bring hope namely, Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia. This psychic form fights with mysterious powers and is skilled at versatile beam attacks and fights trickily like a wizard.

In addition to these new forms, Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed returns in a guest appearance capacity! In the series, he will use the Ultra Z Riser, his own Ultra Access Card, and the medals of his fellow New Generation Heroes, Ginga, X and Orb to transform into Ultraman Geed Galaxy Rising! With this new form, he goes to help Z on Earth. 

Finally, the show's opening and ending themes are revealed. The show's opening theme titled "Goshouwa Kudasai Ware No Na Wo! (Chant My Name!)" will be performed by JAM Project's Masaaki Endoh (Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger), while the show's ending theme titled "Connect the Truth" will be performed by Nami Tamaki (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED).

Written and directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi (Ultraman X, Ultraman Orb), Ultraman Z is set to premiere on June 20th at 9am only on TV Tokyo.
