The official Tsuburaya YouTube channel posted a new trailer for the Ultraman Taiga the Movie: New Generation Climax film, revealing the new Ultraman, Ultraman Reiga!
Ultraman Reiga and Evil Deity Monster Grimud
Using the New Generation Eye, Hiroyuki transforms into Ultraman Reiga, the Ultraman that combines the power of the 11 New Generation Heroes, namely: Ginga, Victory, X, Orb, Geed, Rosso, Blu, Grigio, Taiga, Titus, and Fuma. To summon this item, Hiroyuki scans the New Generation-let in his Taiga Spark.
The trailer also confirmed the return of Ultraman Tregear, Ultraman Taro's former friend turned evil who we thought Ultraman Taiga defeated in the Ultraman Taiga TV series' final episode. In the film, he plans to make his former friend, Taro fall into darkness. Our heroes will also face Evil Deity Monster Grimud, a space monster slumbering within Tregear and the source of his enormous power, but after Tregear's defeat, the seal was broken, releasing this monster.
New Generation Eye and the New Generation-let
As previously reported, the cast from the TV series will reprise their roles and will also feature the return of past New Generation Heroes will make an appearance in the film with their respective actors reprising said roles. Reprising their roles are: Takuya Negishi (Hikaru Raidou/Ultraman Ginga), Kiyotaka Uji (Shou/Ultraman Victory), Kensuke Takahashi (Daichi Ozora/Ultraman X), Hideo Ishiguro (Gai Kurenai/Ultraman Orb), Tatsuomi Hamada (Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed), Yuya Hirata (Katsumi Minato/Ultraman Rosso), and Ryosuke Koike (Isami Minato/Ultraman Blu).
Ultraman Taiga series director Ryuichi Ichino returns to direct the film with Sotaro Hayashi (Travelers: Dimension Police, Ultraman Taiga) and Takao Nakano (Ultraman Orb) writing the film's scripts. Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak in Japan, the film's release date gets delayed. It's new release date will be announced on a later date.
