Tsuburaya and Marvel Comics announced at this year's Anime Expo that the Ultraman series and the Marvel universe will have a crossover comic book team-up soon!
Announced by Mat Groom, who is the co-writer of the Ultraman comics published by Marvel, this currently untitled crossover will take place within the continuity of the current Marvel Ultraman comics, and it will draw on thematic comparisons between the stoic heroism of the Ultras and Earth's Mightiest Heroes of Marvel.
Only details we known thus far is that this comic will feature Ultraman, Ultraseven, and Ultraman Taro on the Ultraman side, and on the Marvel side, we have Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel, which are seen fighting Bemular, a classic Ultra monster.
This currently untitled Ultraman/Marvel Universe crossover is the fourth title coming out of Tsuburaya Productions and Marvel Comics' recent collaboration. This crossover is set for a 2023 release.
