Premium Bandai posted the official images of the Ultra Replica Esplender 25th Anniversary Ver. from the Ultraman Gaia series.
The release commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Ultraman Gaia series, and all parts are newly sculpted compared to the Esplender that was included in the previously released Ultra Replica Esplender & Agulater back in 2017. This item is based on a 3D scan of the prop seen in the series and is made closer to resemble said item. More LED lights are installed in this item and said lights have a different placement, improving the reproduction of the light gimmick.
As for the sound gimmicks, it depends on what mode the item is in, allowing you to recreate iconic scenes from the series. The light emission of the LED depends on the mode and transformation sequence you will play. These modes are:
The item features over 10 tracks of sound effects such as finishers for each form of Ultraman Gaia, as well as various BGM such as the show's opening theme, "Ultraman Gaia!" and the ending theme, "Lovin' You Lovin' Me". In addition, the item also comes with its own dedicated pedestal.
But that's not all, for the first time, the initial version of the Esplender, which is a photoelectron tube and appeared in episodes 2 and 3 of the series will finally get a proper release. This item is made in cooperation with Tsuburaya's modeling department, LSS. It has its corresponding lights and sounds. This Premium Bandai web exclusive set cost 14,300 yen and is set for a March 2023 release. Pre-orders will end on November 9th.
- V1 Mode - It has four kinds of sounds based on the transformation sequence seen in the series. The default mode is the one used in the TV series until episode 25. Other sounds in this mode include the one from episode 1, and the one from episode 6 (Gan Q episode).
- V2 Mode - It has six kinds of of sounds based on the transformation sequence seen in the series. The default mode is the one used first seen in the TV series' 26th episode after receiving Ultraman Agul's light. It also has the sound for Gaia's V2 to SV transformation.
- Bonus Mode - It has four kinds of sounds based on Ultraman Gaia's appearance in other media such as films and other TV series.
