Premium Bandai posted the official images of the Ultra Replica Ultraman Taro 50th ANNIVERSARY SET from the Ultraman Taro TV series.
Released to commemorate Ultraman Taro's 50th anniversary, this set comes with an updated Ultra Badge and the ZAT member buckle sound unit. In the series, Kotaro Higashi uses the Ultra Badge to transform into Ultraman Taro. What makes this release different from the one released in 2019 is that you can actually use it to transform into Ultraman Taro!
This is made possible with the latest in design technology, updating the original Ultra Replica Ultra Badge release, giving it electronics and an infrared communication unit built-in into the item's extremely small body base. The item is 60mm in width, and 8mm in thickness. To transform, the user presses the back of the Ultra Badge. This will transmit infrarred signals that the included ZAT member buckle sound unit will receive, and once it is received, it will play Ultraman Taro's transformation sound! The transformation sound can be switched in between three patterns seen in the series.

Like a lot of Ultra Replica items, this sculpting of this figure is supervised by Tsuburaya's modeling team, LSS, thus the curved shaped of the body, which is gently rounded has been thoroughly reproduced. The crystal in the center is made of acrylic. In addition, the item comes with holder parts, thus allowing you to attach the Ultra Badge to your arm, a feature that was not possible in previous releases. A dedicated pedestal for this item is also included.
The ZAT member buckle sound unit is based on the ZAT defense team's emblem worn by its members, and also serves as the sound unit for this set. The item has two buttons, and it can play Ultraman Taro's theme song, insert song, transformation scene BGM, various symbolic sound effects such as the sound of the Ultra Badge shining, the sound of jumping, and the cries of various monsters that appeared in the series. It can also play other iconic sounds that were heard in the series too! Lastly, you can also wear this item like a regular buckle thanks to the hooks located at the back.
