NHK's official Tokusatsu GaGaGa website posted the trailer for the upcoming series. The trailer highlights the life of tokusatsu otaku, Kano Nakamura. The trailer features the show's theme song "Gagagagagagaga" by Golden Bomber's Sho Kiryuin.
The upcoming series stars Fuka Koshiba (live-action Kiki's Delivery Service) as Kano Nakamura, an office lady who is secretly a tokusatsu otaku. A big fan of the fictional Super Sentai-like series, Juushowan, she lives her life by the code of the heroes she loves and often envisions herself as one to make it through her daily struggles.
Other cast members include: Haruka Kinami (Hero Yoshihiko), Takafumi Honda (The Match Girl), Rena Takeda (Kamen Rider Amazons), SKE48's Mikoto Uchiyama, and Kana Kurashima (Spring Has Come). Tokusatsu GaGaGa is set to premiere this January 18, 2019 at 10pm only on NHK.
