It was reported that tokusatsu director Nobuo Yajima has passed away. He was 91 years old.
The director passed away last November 28th due to old age and is best known for his work Space Sheriff Gavan, Ultraman Taro, Mirror Man, Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot, Message from Space, Kamen Rider Super-1, Kamen Rider BLACK, Kamen Rider: 8 Riders VS Galaxy King, Battle Fever J, Denji Sentai Denziman, Choushinsei Flashman, Hikari Sentai Maskman, Samurai Reincarnation, Legend of the Eight Samurai, and many, many more.
In addition, the director also established the Tokusatsu Kenkyujyo back in 1965, which handles special effects and visual effects in various TV and film. In 2006, he also received the 4th Japan Cultural Agency Film Award and Film Achievement Division, and in 2011 also received the 34th Japan Academy Awards Association Special Award.
