Netflix announced Wakagi Mio's Glass Heart novel will get a live-action series adaptation of the same name in said streaming platform.
The series follows Akane Saijo, a college student and aspiring drummer, who was suddenly kicked out of her band. But things take a turn when the brilliant musician Naoki Fujitani stumbles upon her talent and invites her to join his new ensemble.
Takeru Satoh (Kamen Rider Den-O, Rurouni Kenshin) will not only play Naoki Fujitani, but will also serve as the show's co-executive producer. Yu Miyazaki (Lesson in Murder) on the other hand, will play the role of Akane Saijo, a role she landed through auditions.

The series will be primarily written by Mari Okada (Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) alongside with a group of talented female writers, namely: Tomoko Akutsu, Shiho Kosaka, and Anna Kawahara. Directed by Kensaku Kakimoto (Parasite in Love) and Kotaro Goto (The Naked Director), the series is set for a 2025 release only on Netflix worldwide.

- Jun Shison (Ressha Sentai ToQGer, Fermat's Cuisine) as Kazushi Sakamoto, an introspective pianist and music geek
- Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W, Don't Call It Mystery) as Toya Shinzaki, the charismatic vocalist of a rival band
