It was announced that voice actor Takahiro Sakurai (Code Geass) will join the cast of the live-action Koe Koi (Trans. Voice Love) drama series.
He'll voice Matsubara in the show, a man who wears a paper bag in his head, making this his first regular role in a live-action show. The closest live-action role that he got prior to this was voicing two monsters of the week in the Super Sentai franchise, namely GoGo-V's Bahamur and Gokaiger's Jerashid.
Also joining the cast are Ryo Ryusei (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) as student council president Makoto Hyudo. Also part of the cast are: Motoki Ochiai, Karen Otomo, Toru Sakurada, Kaho Mizutani, Shunya Shiraishi, and Yumi Morio.
The series stars Mei Nagao (Ore Monogatari!!) as Yuiko, a girl who falls in love with Matsubara, a kid boy with a wonderful voice. After hearing him over the phone, Yuiko finally meets him at school and discovers that he wears a paper bag over his head. This makes her wonder about the mysterious boy, which starts their relationship.
The series is set for a July 8th premiere on TV Tokyo.
