Actor Yosuke Kishi, best known to most fans as Uchu Sentai Kyuranger's Stinger/Sasori Orange recently surprised voice actress Miku Ito (BanG Dream!) by forming a Super Sentai team with her.
Ito is a big fan of the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai franchises, and has been watching Super Sentai since Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. In the 29th episode of Kishi's YouTube channel, ELEMENTARY CHANNEL, he told the voice actress that they will explore a "holy place" where many tokusatsu shows are filmed and it is of course, one of the quarries where most of the big fight scenes were shot.
What Ito didn't know was that Kishi has set up a surprise for her. This surprise is the appearance of Super Sentai actors Syuusuke Saito (Kyoryuger's Ian Yorkland/KyoryuBlack), Shota Taguchi (Kyuranger's Kotaro Sakuma/Koguma SkyBlue), and Shogo Hama (Lupinranger's Tooma Yoimachi/LupinBlue). These three start to call her "Red". Kishi decided to fulfill Ito's dream in forming her own Super Sentai team.
The team called "Thank You Sentai Mikuranger" filmed in said quarry and even made an opening sequence (which can be viewed in the 31:07 mark of the video) with Uchu Sentai Kyuranger opening theme singer Tomohiro Hatano performing the theme song without the permission from his manager or agency. He was not told about the surprise concept, but while singing it, he realized what this is for. In addition, we also learned that Ito's favorite Super Sentai hero is Koguma SkyBlue, which is why Kishi invited Taguchi to be part of the surprise in order to make her happy.
