Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Anime's Theme Songs Revealed

The official Sorcerous Stabber Orphen anime website has revealed the opening and ending theme songs of this new anime adaptation. 

The show's opening theme titled "Calling U" will be performed by buzz★Vibes, the group of voice actor Showtaro Morikubo (Naruto) who plays Orphen in the original anime and his other appearances. In addition, the show's ending theme is titled "Yosou Funou Days" (Unpredictable Days) and is performed by Mai Fuchigami (Assassination Classroom) who plays Dortin in the anime. 

The upcoming series is animated by Studio DEEN and is directed by Takayuki Hamana (The Prince of Tennis) and is written by Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Violet Evergarden). The series will feature character designs by Takahiko Yoshida (Cells at Work!), Imari Katsuragi (Log Horizon) will serve as the color key artist, and Kazuhiro Arai (FLCL Progressive) will serve as art director. Keisuke Kawatani (Chaos Dragon) will serve as the CG director, and Shinyo Kondo (Fate/stay night) is compositing director of photography, Takuya Hiramitsu (Hunter x Hunter 1999) is the sound director, and Keiko Onodera (Beyblade G Revolution) is the editor. 

It was previously reported that that Showtaro Morikubo (Naruto) will reprise his role as Orphen in the upcoming anime. He played the character in the original anime and the character's various video game appearances. The original novel follows Orphen, a sorcerer whose quite life is interrupted by the advent of both an apprentice and a young woman with a sword Orphen needs. 

The new anime commemorates the Sorcerous Stabber Orphen series' 25th anniversary. Sorcerous Stabber Orphen is set for a January 2020 release.
