It was announced that Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's ULTRAMAN manga will get an anime adaptation in 2019.
First teased at the December issue of this year's Monthly Hero's magazine, the build up for this announcement started with a countdown page that lead to this reveal.
For the uninitiated, the ULTRAMAN manga takes place after the events of the original Ultraman TV series and ignores all the Ultraman shows and/or spin-offs that take place after it, namely Ultra Seven-present. The series follows Shinjiro Hayata, the son of the original Ultraman host, Shin Hayata who was inherited his father's "Ultraman Factor", which gives him superhuman abilities. With new alien threats rising, he dons an armor and becomes ULTRAMAN!
Details such as the exact release date and staff are yet to be announced.
