Nintendo announced at this year's E3 that after years of being a Japan-only SNES title, Seiken Densetsu 3 will finally get an international English-language release!
Now officially titled "Trials of Mana", the original game will be released as part of the Collection of Mana, which collects the three Mana games in one collection. Aside from Trials of Mana, the collection also comes with Final Fantasy Adventure (later re-released as Adventures of Mana for the iOS and Android) from the Game Boy and Secret of Mana from the SNES. This collection was originally released in Japan back in June 2017 for the Nintendo Switch and is now available via the Nintendo eShop. The game will also get a limited physical edition release soon.
In addition, it was also announced that the game will also get a remake, similar to the recent Secret of Mana remake for the PS4, PS Vita, and PC. In the game, the world is on the brink of war, and the power of Mana suddenly starts to weaken. To save the world, you select 3 out of the 6 unique heroes and rescue the world from the encroaching darkness. The Trials of Mana remake is set for an early 2020 release for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Stream.
