After many delays, to promote the Rings, a sequel to The Ring, Samara spook shoppers wanting a free TV in an electronics store.
A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before...
The film stars Alex Roe, Matilda Lutz, and Aimee Teegarden and is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, written by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes, and Akiva Goldsman, and is produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
Rings is set for a February 3 release.
