The official Sailor Moon website announced that the live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series will get a 20th anniversary special this month.
The series first made its debut in October 4, 2003, and this special was made to commemorate the show's 20th anniversary. The special titled "Sailor Scouts Alumni Reunion", this special will reunite the actors who played the main Sailor Scouts in the series, namely: Miyuu Sawai (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon), Rika Izumi (Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury), Keiko Kitagawa (Rei Hino/Sailor Mars), Mew Azama (Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter), and Ayaka Komatsu (Minako Aino/Sailor Venus).
This reunion special is a talk variety show in which they will share various anecdotes related to their relationships, which can only be talked now, and even share behind-the-scenes stories, as well as how they became friends during their junior high and high school days.
The Sailor Scouts Alumni Reunion is set to premiere this December 25th on Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting (CBC) at 11:10pm JST. This is also the same network that produced the original live-action series.
