It was reported that Jason David Frank, best known to most fans Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' Tommy Oliver/Green Ranger will make his pro wrestling debut!
The actor made his wrestling debut in the independent wrestling promotion, Laredo Wrestling Alliance (LWA) as the Power Ranger got involved in the main event. Because the actor was on ringside watching the event, the challenger for the LWA United Pure Championship, Brysin Scott got the microphone and claimed that he was the top attraction, and not David Frank, leading to fight between the two toward the end of the match. LWA security of course, got involved.
After this, David Frank got the mic and announced that he will return to LWA, but not as a guest, but as a competitor. He revealed on LMTonline that he's been interested in wrestling and credits Ronda Rousey and CM Punk for his interest in crossing over to pro wrestling. The actor previously had a stint in MMA.
With David Frank's appearance in LWA, the promotion is expecting huge numbers in their later events. David Frank's appearance in this event alone, caused the promotion to increase seating capacity from 300 chairs to 400 chairs. LWA owner Rey Chavarria stated that this was the largest crowd that they ever had.
