New details about the 30th Power Rangers season, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury was revealed at this year's Hasbro Pulse Con.
Power Rangers Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury executive producer Simon Bennett revealed that the cliffhanger ending seen in Power Rangers Dino Fury Season 2 was shot before the decision for Cosmic Fury was made with hopes that they can do a third season. That said, Cosmic Fury will take place immediately after the events of Dino Fury. Bennett also confirmed that the partnership between Toei and Hasbro remains firm, and will still continue, dispelling any partnership break up rumors.
Aside from being the first time since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to feature the same cast for three seasons, this is also another first since MMPR that the series only use the mecha footage from Super Sentai, and not use the suits associated to it. In this case, the series will use the mecha footage from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, and use original suits that are inspired by the Dino Fury suits for the ground and action scenes.
Bennett revealed via Twitter that the reason why they didn't use the Kyuranger suits is due to the sheer number of Rangers, even though he finds the designs brilliant. The event also gives us our first look at the upgraded Dino Fury Green and Dino Fury Gold suits, each of which have their own personal weapons. The team will also get new morphers. More on the original stuff, Lord Zedd returns and he has a team of original villains with him. Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will have a total of 10 episodes, and is set to premiere exclusively worldwide on Netflix this 2023.
