The official One Piece YouTube channel posted the second teaser trailer for the upcoming One Piece Film Red. The trailed revealed that the mysterious new girl, Uta is Shank's daughter.
Uta — the most beloved singer in the world. Her voice, which she sings with while concealing her true identity, has been described as "otherworldly." She will appear in public for the first time at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans — excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance — the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is "Shanks' daughter."
The upcoming film will feature Shanks with the phrases "singing voice" and "Red-haired" being keys to the story. The 15th overall film in the franchise, this is also the fourth One Piece movie to have a FILM in the title with series creator Eiichiro Oda serving as executive producer, a role he served in said One Piece Film movies.
Written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa (One Piece Film Gold, live-action Kingdom film) and directed by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass), the film is set for an August 6th release in Japan.
