Netflix posted the super teaser trailer for First Love, a series inspired by the music of Hikaru Utada.
Inspired by the songs "First Love" (first released in 1999) and "Hatsukoi" (first released in 2018), the series follows a couple retracing their memories of their unforgettable first love over the course of more than 20 years and spanning three decades: The late '90s, the 2000s, and the present. Young, free, and madly in love. As teenagers, the world was their oyster, but as adults, their lives seem dimmer, like a very important piece is missing.
The upcoming series stars Hikari Mitsushima (Love Exposure, Ultraman Max) and Takeru Satoh (Kamen Rider Den-O, Rurouni Kenshin film series) as Yae Noguchi and Harumichi Namiki respectively, the couple in this series. Noguchi wants to become a flight attendant, but she had an accident. Namiki on the other hand, becomes a pilot for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. He quits being a pilot and goes the other way.
First Love is set to premiere this November 22nd, exclusively on Netflix worldwide.
