The official Gundam YouTube channel posted a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative) anime project. The trailer revealed more information about said project.
The project takes place a year after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam UC. Despite the revelation of the original charter for the Universal Century, which acknowledges the existence of Newtypes and their rights, the world remains largely unchanged.
After the destruction of the Neo Zeon remnant force known as the Sleeves, the event that has come to be known as the "Laplace Incident" seems to have drawn to a close. In the final battle, two Full Psycho Frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human imagination. The menace of the White Unicorn and the Black Lion were sealed away from public consciousness, and were consigned to be forgotten by history. But now sightings of the RX-0 Unicorn 03, long thought lost two years ago, are being reported. Its name is Phenex, an immortal golden bird.
The project's main cast are: Junya Enoki (Digimon Adventure tri.) as Yona Bashuta, Tomo Muranaka (Kirakira PreCure a la Mode) as Michelle Luio, and Ayu Matsuura (Bunny Drop) as Rita Bernal. In addition, joining the project's staff are: Tomohiro Fujie (Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) as CG director, and Yoshinori Sayama (Aquarion) for "monitor design."
The project will be directed by Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn director Shunichi Yoshizawa and will be animated at Sunrise Studio #1 with scripts written by Harutoshi Fukui (Mobile Suit Gundam UC). Kuniko Takahashi (Cardcaptor Sakura) is in-charge with the main character designs while Se Jun Kim (Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS) will do the character designs for animation. The project will feature mecha designs by Hajime Katoki and Eiji Komatsu. Mobile Suit Gundam NT is set to premiere this November 30th in Japanese cinemas.
