Variety reported that Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir series creator and director Thomas Astruc will direct the Astro Boy Reboot series.
As its name suggest, it is a reboot of Osamu Tezuka's classic series of the same name, this new CG series will have a total of 52 half-hour episodes, and will feature timely topics such as the impact of the Internet, social media, and the damages caused to the environment by humans.
The new series, which is jointly produced by Monaco based Shibuya Productions and Mediawan's Method Animation (Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Little Prince) will bring in together a pool of talented animators across the world, including ones from France and Japan. The release date of this new series is yet to be announced.
