DLE announced that M.A.O. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Digimon Tri.) will play the role of Haru in their Henkei Shojo anime project.
She was first introduced in the project's first anime short in which we saw Haru transform into a jet plane just to catch someone's hat. This short got over 1.65 million views on Twitter. Aside from providing some lines in the short, M.A.O. also performed the short's theme song.
As for the project, M.A.O. thought that the project's approach is very innovative, and that the transformation scene was quite shocking. If she could transform into any vehicle, she'd like to transform into a submarine so that she could explore underwater.
The project's concept is "What would you do if a girl nearby suddenly transformed?" Haru is the first character revealed in the said project, with more girls getting their own reveal shorts in later months. The next girl to get her short is Rin, which will debut on June 9th.
