Toho posted a new trailer for the upcoming live-action Teasing Master Takagi-san film. The trailer features the film's theme song, "Haruka" (Far Away) by Aimer.
In addition, the film's Twitter account also revealed that Tamaki Shiratori (The Way of the Househusband) will play Miki Ozeki, who is Nishikata's classmate, while Jun Saito (Let's Go Karaoke!) will play Ryo Machida.
The film will feature an original story taking place 10 years after the events of the manga's middle school setting. The film will star Mei Nagano (My Broken Mariko) as Takagi, who is now a trainee teacher in her alma mater, and Fumiya Takahashi (Kamen Rider Zero-One) as Nishikata, who is now a gym coach in the same school.
The film is directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (Call Me Chihiro), who will also co-write the scripts with Tomoki Kanazawa (Sanctuary) and Jun Hagimori (Sakaban). The film will feature music composed by Takashi Ohmana (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury), and both adaptations were shot on location at Kanagawa Prefecture's Shodo Island, the same setting of the anime adaptation.
