The official live-action One Piece Twitter account posted a letter coming from series creator Eiichiro Oda about the series.
The letter revealed on how involved he is with the series the difficulty in working on the series since it's a foreign production with people coming from different cultures, and how they are now working in sync. He also revealed on why this series needs to happen now than later.
He also confirmed that the series is now in the final stages of completion and it has a total of 8 episodes as opposed to the earlier reported 10 episodes. Lastly, he stated that even though the series is slated for a 2023 release, he promised that it won't launch until he is satisfied.
