The official live-action Marmalade Boy film's Twitter account posted the official visual for the upcoming film.
The upcoming film stars Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Yu Matsura and Hinako Sakurai (The Last Cop) as Miki Koishikawa. Based on Wataru Yoshizumi's manga of the same name, Miki's parents announced that they are getting a divorce and swapping partners with another couple, who have a son of their own named Yu. The couples move in together a romance between the two blooms.
Directed by Ryuichi Hiroki (live-action Strobe Edge) with scripts written by Taeko Asano, the film is set for an April 27, 2018 release in Japan. Filming for said film began last November 20th and will end in the beginning of January 2018.
