Kodansha announced that Junko's Kiss Him, Not Me manga will get a live-action film adaptation. The film will star E-girls' Nonoka Yamaguchi and Miu Tomita (Let's Go, Jets!) as Kae Serinuma both after and before she slimmed down.

In the original series, Kae is a fujoshi, a female fan who loves boys love material and imagines men together in romantic relationships, both fictional and real. But when one of her favorite anime characters is killed off, she was so shocked that she locks herself in her room fro a whole week. She eventually leaves the room, only to discover that she lost a lot of weight and becomes a beautiful girl that catches the attention of four boys, causing her to get frustrated because she wants the boys to fall in love with each other!
Directed and co-written by Norihisa Hiranuma (High & Low film series) with scripts co-written by Nami Kikkawa, Shohei Fukuda, Kei Watanabe, and Daisuke Kamijo, the film is set for a July 10th release in Japan.
