Kadokawa posted the first official trailer for the upcoming third season of the KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! anime.
Joining the anime's cast are: Kanon Takao (Genshin Impact) as Iris, Sayuri Yahagi (To Love Ru) as Claire, and Reina Ueda (SSSS.Gridman) as Rain.
Based on Natsume Akatsuki's light novel series of the same name, the series follows Kazuma, a shut-in student who dies in a traffic accident. Because his death was pointless, the goddess Aqua gave her a second chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world and keep one thing with him. He chose Aqua and they are both transported into this fantasy world. The duo go on quests to earn just enough to survive and eventually had the sorceress Megumin and swordswoman Darkness, who they quickly learn are as just as useless as they are.
The third season will be animated by studio Drive (KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!) and will feature KonoSuba the Movie director Takaomi Kanasaki now serving as the anime's chief director. Yujiro Abe (Great Pretender) will now server as series director. Lastly, returning staff members include Makoto Uezu as series writer and Koichi Kikuta as character designer. KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 is set to premiere in April 2024.
