Kadokawa posted the first trailer for the upcoming Konosuba spin-off series, Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which is based on the light novel series of the same name.
The series will star Rie Takahashi as Megumin and Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun, who are both reprising their roles from the main Konosuba anime. The spin-off follows Megumin and her Crimson Magic Clan.
The series will be animated by Drive (Uzumaki) with Takaomi Kanasaki (Konosuba) serving as the chief director. In addition, Yujiro Abe (Great Pretender) will serve as director alongside with returning staff members, namely: Makoto Uezu as scriptwriter, Koichi Kikut as character designer, and Masato Koda as music composer. The same staff will also work at Konosuba's upcoming 3rd season.
Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! is set to premiere this 2023.
