The only thing worth noting about it is that they associate this plan with Deep Connect's goal in connecting everyone together; again, setup stuff, no big payoff until the series will explore more of Igor's work with Deep Connect. As for Takeru, Onari and his underlings, they tried to figure out the Ganma's movement patterns, only to be surprised that its movements are really, really random. To be honest, I was expecting a big reveal that the Ganma's movements will form a giant eye symbol in the sky, which directly ties in with the Ganma's actions in the past and the stuff they built up in the previous episode.
Now that I am done ranting the side stuff in this episode, let's talk about Alain. Alain got the bulk of development in this episode, the main highlight being his conversation with Akari. In that scene, Akari is trying to figure out on how to counter the red skies, so when Alain arrived and she noticed him, she asked about the Ganma World, maybe her knowing something about it will give her an idea to counter it. This is when we got his usual speech on why the Ganma World is a utopia and his speech that what they are doing is for the benefit of mankind. Akari's response to the whole thing was amazing.
This scene lead us to him facing the enemy Ganma for the first time in this episode. Because the red skies also affect his body, he was easily defeated by Igor and the Ganma. This is Alain at his weakest; this is not the same Necrom that we first met weeks ago. This scene showed us one thing that the utopia of the Ganma World doesn't have, and that is weakness. It is because of his failings that made Alain realize the reason why he's fighting. He fights for Makoto and his sister, he fights for the family he didn't knew that he wanted. It is thanks to this that Grimm finally recognizes him and decides to lend his power.
After Igor and the Ganma retreated, Alain limped his way to Grandma Fumi's takoyaki cart, wherein he decides to rant about the human world and what he discovered about it. What I love about this rant is that the first thing that he said about our world is something positive. He loved the blue skies and the first person who knew about this love was his father, which led us to his advice of listening to his heart if he is in doubt. What this scene did is reinforce the same idea thanks to Grandma Fumi. What makes this scene even better is Akari watching from behind.
Speaking of Ghost, the episode also marked the debut of Kamen Rider Ghost Houdini Damashii, and since the episode didn't build up to this debut and the previous episode only hinted about it, I didn't feel anything for this debut. I mean, the episode stated that Takeru is asking for Makoto's strength in using this new form but the way they executed this debut doesn't feel like Takeru is channeling Makoto's strength. So yeah, lackluster debut for a new form that had a badass debut with another Rider.
Speaking of Alain's father, while all that crazy stuff with Alain is happening in the human world, Alia begins her search for her father as she's suspicious with her brother Adel's actions for the past few weeks. As expected, she discovered her father's prison, but because of her father's warning, she decides not to save him and instead follows his order. As for Adel, things start to get crazier as one of the pillars gain sentience. What could this mean in the series in the long run? Will this mark the official start of Adel's reign as emperor?
