After knowing Makoto's reason for fighting, Takeru makes a decision; he will sacrifice his wish to resurrect himself in order to save Kanon's life. Because of this, Akari wants to talk to Makoto for a compromise, only for Takeru to show his resolve to save Kanon's life. Will Makoto accept Takeru's offer?
With only 22 days left before Takeru dies for good, this episode feels like end game material. You know, the stuff that feels like this is the last few episodes of the series! Because the show's head writer has more experience writing standard 8-12 episode drama, this made me wonder what is in store for the series after this story arc. I mean, it feels like he already gave his all just for this single, yet really good story arc. That being said, this episode of course, kicks off with more Ghost vs. Specter after we learn that Takeru is willing to die just to save Kanon.
The Ghost vs. Specter fight in this episode has top the one from the previous episode. From the clash of swords and scythe to that amazing gun play that ended with a stand-off between these two Riders, it's like they gave their all for this single moment. It didn't help that there is actual history between these two Riders, adding more weight to this really flashy fight scene; Ghost being the first one who reverted back to normal showed his resolve that he is really willing to sacrifice his own life just to save Kanon.
The Ghost vs. Specter fight in this episode has top the one from the previous episode. From the clash of swords and scythe to that amazing gun play that ended with a stand-off between these two Riders, it's like they gave their all for this single moment. It didn't help that there is actual history between these two Riders, adding more weight to this really flashy fight scene; Ghost being the first one who reverted back to normal showed his resolve that he is really willing to sacrifice his own life just to save Kanon.
It's a really touching scene and if this is a standard situation, Makoto will see the error of his ways and help Takeru, but since this is Heisei Kamen Rider and this part of the franchise has a history of heroic jerks, of course, Makoto declines the offer and still wants to save Kanon on his own. I understand that he is just doing his responsibility as older brother, but if you decide to Rider Kick your friend just to show that you refuse the offer, you're just being a total asshole. Because this is a really jerk move, Kanon's spirit stops his brother before he ends up kicking Akari who protects Takeru, which I remind you, is still a ghost and that kick won't do a thing to him.
If there is one thing that scene showed us is that it showed Takeru that there are people who cares that there is still a chance for him to live again. Even with that sentiment, Takeru is still determined to revive Kanon. Takeru's determination made me remember the reason why I easily liked Takeru in the first place, he's a selfless hero. But that trait of his one of the reasons why his friends worry about him, he cares more for others that he stops caring for himself.

Back to Makoto, he had an argument with his sister about the fact that he is not anymore the brother Kanon knew. Speaking of which, Kanon was kidnapped by the Ganma, forcing Makoto to do a trade, all of his Heroic Ghost Eyecons for his sister... which he did. Much to my surprise, instead of fooling Makoto, he... actually fulfilled his end of the bargain. Huh, guess this Ganma only cares about his job the objectives related to it. With only a few Eyecons left and the fact that Team Ghost is looking for Saionji, he used this opportunity to his own advantage by using one of Onari's disciples against Team Ghost.
To put it simply, when Takeru displayed all of his Heroic Ghost Eyecons, one of Onari's disciples used this opportunity to steal it. Thankfully, his plan was foiled thanks to the Kumo Lantern. Seriously, these guys are really pushing this toy hard and I got to admit, it is one cool toy. Thanks to this and Onari's instinct, Ghost transforms into Benkei Damashii, giving us some more cool Ghost Benkei Damashii action. Of course, Ghost beats the Ganma, got all the Ghost Eyecons and saved Onari's disciple. But before these guys can celebrate, Makoto arrives and much to my surprise, Javert.

This is the first time we see Javert do something of note in the series, and I got to say, this guy knows how to make a good impression. Not only this guy is loyal to the Ganma cause, but he knows how to fight that he managed to beat both Ghost and Specter without breaking a sweat in his special Ganma form. But that's not all, Saionji is watching it and with all 15 Ghost Eyecons around, he executes his plan. The only thing clear about this plan is that it created a barrier and that it involves the need of the Monolith. With all the elements assemble, what is Saionji's end game?
