The second trailer for the upcoming Kakegurui the Movie Part 2 is now online, which revealed the film's official title as well as the film's theme song, "checkmate" by milet.
The film titled Kakegurui: Zettai Zetsumei Russian Roulette (translates as Kakegurui: Last Resort Russian Roulette), will feature an original story supervised by series co-creator Homura Kawamoto.
Peace has returned to Hyakkaou Private Academy after the student council elections, but a man named Makuro Shikigami (played by Ryusei Fujii of Johnny's West) appears and plunges the academy into chaos. Shikigami was driven out from the academy by student council president Kirari Momobami due to an incident that occurred two years ago. A skilled gambler in his own right, he has a special ability called synesthesia.
The main cast from the TV series and movie will reprise their roles for the upcoming film as well. Returning cast members are: Minami Hamabe (live-action Anohana drama special, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas) as Yumeko Jabami, Mahiro Takasugi (Kamen Rider Gaim) as Ryota Suzui, and Aoi Morikawa (Prison School) as Mary Saotome. Other cast members include:
Lastly, the Tsutomi Hanabusa will return to direct the film and write the screenplay, along with Minato Takano who will co-write the screenplay. Kakegurui: Zettai Zetsumei Russian Roulette is set for an April 29th release.
