Yui Koike as Ahim de Famille/Gokai Pink from Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger's 29th episode
Actress Yui Koike, best known to most fans as Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's Ahim de Famille/Gokai Pink recently had an interview with Weekly Playboy, confirming her return from her 5-year hiatus.
The last notable role Koike had was reprising her role as Ahime de Famille/Gokai Pink in Doubusu Sentai Zyuohger's special Gokaiger two-parter episode back in 2016. In the interview, she cleared up rumors about retirement from showbiz and marriage. She revealed that she's working various jobs outside of acting, most notably, working at an acquaintance's company and even at a tavern.
She also recounts her Gokaiger days, particularly the show's 29th episode, which features her dress up in various costumes. She also stated that the show's 41st episode, which revealed Ahim's back story is also memorable to her and revealed that she cried when she read the script for that episode. When asked what type of man a princess like her will choose, revealing that Koike prefers someone like Joe Gibken/Gokai Blue.
She also revealed in the interview that the reason why she wanted to become a Super Sentai actress was because she and Rina Aizawa, who played Engine Sentai Go-Onger's Saki Rouyama/Go-On Yellow went to the same high school together and that Aizawa's appearance inspired her to become a Sentai actress as well. Finally, she stated that Gokaiger is indeed her "greatest treasure".
