The official Kaiji Final Game film website posted the latest trailer and revealed more cast members for the upcoming film. The film will feature an original story written by series creator Nobuyuki Fukumoto.
Joining the film's cast are: Suzuki Matsuo (Shin Godzilla) as Otsuki, Yuki Amami (Emergency Interrogation Room) as Rinko Endo, Katsuhisa Namase (Gokusen, Kamen Rider Zi-O) as Kotaro Sakazaki, Ikusaburo Yamazaki (The Last Cop) as Keishi Nishino, a subordinate to the Prime Minister's executive secretary; Masato Ibu (Godzilla: Final Wars) as Togo, a multi-millionaire; and Toshiki Seto (Kamen Rider Ex-Aid) as Taichi Sugehara, a fellow game participant.
Billed as the final chapter of the series, actor Tatsuya Fujiwara (Death Note) will reprise his role as Kaiji. Joining the film's cast are: Nagisa Sekimizu (Almost a Miracle) as Kanako Kirino, Mackenyu Arata (Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future, Chihayafuru) as Minato Hirose, Sota Fukushi (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Kosuke Takakura, and Kotaro Yoshida (Shinjuku Swan) as Yohishiro Kurosaki.
Toya Sato, who previously directed the first two live-action Kaiji films, namely 2009's Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler and 2011's Kaiji 2 will direct the new film. Kaiji Final Game is set for a January 10, 2020 release in Japan.
