Viz Media has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming Inuyasha sequel series, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. This series will follow the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
The series stars Towa (voiced by Sara Matsumoto) and Setsuna (voiced by Mikako Komatsu), Sesshomaru's twin daughters who get separated in a forest fire. Towa ended up in modern times and is raised by Kagome's little brother, Sota. Ten years later and the sisters reunite, but Setsuna is now a demon slayer with no memories of her sister. They are joined by Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter Moroha (voiced by Azusa Tadokoro) as they set off on an adventure to regian their missing past.
Like the original series, Yashahime will be animated by Sunrise and is directed by Inuyasha episode director Teruo Sato with Katsuyuki Sumisawa returning to write the scripts. Series creator Rumiko Takahashi serves as the main character designer with Yoshihito Hishinuma (Yakitate!! Japan) returning to adapt her designs for animation. Lastly, Kaoru Wada (The File of Young Kindaichi) returns to compose the show's music.
