Sunrise has revealed new details for the upcoming Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE anime was revealed, which includes the show's staff and plot.
Taking place two years after the events of Gundam Build Divers, a new version of Gundam Battle Nexus Online (GBN) and will feature new Divers. These new Divers are: Hiroto, a lone Diver who likes to play a mercenary; Kazami, a wanderer who goes between parties; May, a mysterious solo Diver who participated in Gunpla Battles all day; and Parviz, a beginner Diver who has an introverted attitude but desire co-op play. These four live solitary existences, they are brought together by circumstance to form a team in an experience that goes beyond GBN.
Gundam Build Divers director Shinya Watada returns to direct this new series with Yasuyuki Muto (Mobile Suit Gundam UC) writing the series. The series will feature character designs by Kazuhiro Hara (Log Horizon) with Shuri Toida (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) adapting said designs for adaptation. Masami Obari will once again serve as action director, while Shinya Kusumegi and Sakiko Uda serve as chief mecha animators. Lastly, Hideakira Kimura returns to compose the show's music.
