Tsuburaya has unveiled the full official trailer for the upcoming Gridman Universe film, which is a crossover between SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon anime.
The official trailer also features the film's theme song, "uni-verse" by Masayoshi Oishi. The movie takes place after the events of both shows, with the trailer starting with Yuta drawing and erasing a picture of Gridman over and over again.
Yuta Hibiki is now in his second year on high school, and is placed in a different class from Rikka Takarada, decides to confess his feelings for her. Their daily life in such a peaceful world begins to crumble with a roar.
In the midst of the crisis that Yuta faces, Gridman suddenly appears, and says "The balance of this world is about to collapse." Soon after, the crimson dragon, Dynarex appears alongside Gridman's allies, the Neon Genesis Junior High Students, and Yomogi Asanaka, a resident from another world appear one after another in front of Yuta. While keeping his feelings for Rikka hidden, Yuta's extraordinary life begins.
Cast members from both the SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon anime will reprise their respective roles for the upcoming film. In addition, the staff behind SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon, namely director Akira Amemiya, writer Keiichi Hasegawa, character designer Masaru Sakamoto, and music composer Shiro Sagisu returns to work on the film. Studio Trigger will once again animate the project. Gridman Universe is set for a March 24th release.
