Shin Japan Heroes Universe, a project featuring Shin Godzilla, Rebuild of Evangelion (also known as Evangelion Shin Theatrical Edition), Shin Ultraman, and Shin Kamen Rider was announced.
This project was launched by Toho (owner of the Godzilla franchise), studio khara (owner of the Evangelion franchise), Tsuburaya Productions (owner of the Ultraman franchise), and Toei (co-owner of the Kamen Rider franchise). These projects are connected with the word "Shin" and have involvement from creator Hideaki Anno who worked in these projects as either director, writer and/or producer. Only two works of this project, namely Shin Ultraman (set for a May 13th release) and Shin Kamen Rider (set for a March 2023) are yet to be released.
This dream collaboration of 4 "heroes" that represent Japan that cross the boundaries of the company lines. The art for this project is illustrated by Mahiro Maeda (The Vision of Escaflowne) with the logo illustrated by Yutaka Izubuchi (RahXephon), both of which are deeply involved in this project.
