Kadokawa announced that a new Gamera project is in the works titled GAMERA Rebirth!
This new project will be distributed globally via Netflix. Details such as if this is a movie, a tokusatsu or anime project wasn't revealed as of this writing. In addition, new Gamera figures will be on display at the Tamashii Nations event, which will happen on November 18-20.
Gamera is a giant turtle kaiju that breaths fire and is a friend to all children. The last Gamera film was 2006's Gamera the Brave. Shusuke Kaneko, the director of the Heisei Gamera Trilogy revealed in a support comment for this new project that he was planned to propose his own idea for a Reiwa Gamera project, only to learn that Kadokawa has started a new project, and is now supporting this new project in the sidelines.
