It was announced in today's Nintendo Direct that games coming from the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance are now available via the Nintendo Switch Online!
The games that are available at launch for the Game Boy are: Tetris, Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, Gargoyle's Quest, Game & Watch Gallery 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Metroid II - Return of Samus, Wario Land 3, and Kirby's Dream Land. More games will be added in the future, and the ones teased are: The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and Kirby: Tilt 'n' Tumble. In addition, you can choose various screen options, namely: Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color.
The games that are available at launch for the Game Boy Advance are: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. More games will be added in the future, and the ones teased are: Metroid Fusion, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun. In addition, GBA is only available if your Nintendo Switch Online account includes the Expansion Pack.
Lastly, both the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance allows local or online multiplayer.
