Voltes V made quite an impact to Filipino pop culture, and to commemorate the anime's 40th anniversary, Giordano released new shirts inspired by the series. Five of these shirts were designed by Filipino fans.
These five artists were chosen via the Voltes V Tee Design Contest, which launched late last year. These five artists are: Jarrel Soliman, RJ Camacho, Frederick Gan, Jhomel Antonio, and Jefferson Velayo. These five artists were inspired by the anime in various ways and their shirt designs reflect on how the series affected them.
In addition to these unique shirts, the Voltes V 40th Anniversary Collection will also feature other designs for men's printed tee, women's printed tee, junior printed tee, men's polo, men's embroidered tee, and men's hooded cotton jacket. Lastly, a limited edition shirt featuring Combattler V, Daimos, and Voltes V, the three main robots of Tadao Nagahama's Robot Romance Trilogy will also be released.
