First Three Digimon Anime Films Gets Uncut, North American Blu-ray Release

Discotek Media announced on their special Digimon screening at this year's Otakon that they will release the first three Digimon anime films in their original uncut forms!

The Digimon the Movies Collection 1 contains the first three Digimon anime films in their original, uncut forms. These films are: Digimon Adventure short film, Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!, and Digimon Adventure 02: Hurricane Touchdown.

Aside from the original Japanese audio with English subtitles, a brand new English dub for these films will also be included in the set! The dub is produced by Sound Cadence Studios, and will feature cast members from the original English dub reprising their respective roles, most notably: Joshua Seth as Tai, Mona Marshall as Izzy, Lara Jill Miller as Kari, Michael Reisz as Matt, and Brian Donovan as Davis. Cast members who can't reprise their roles such as Philece Sampler who passed away in 2021, are recasted. All three films will still use the original Japanese soundtrack. 

But that's not all, the set will also include Digimon the Movie, the heavily edited version that combines said three films into a single movie is also included, and is remastered in HD! The film's infamous soundtrack is still intact and the opening Angela Anaconda short, which was included in the original theatrical release and DVD release is gone from this release. No need to fast forward just to watch the actual movie!
