In an interview with Collider, director Doug Liman revealed that the live-action film adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's All You Need Is Kill novel gets a sequel.
Titled "Live Die Repeat and Repeat", the title is a call back to the first film's tagline "Live. Die. Repeat". Liman also confirmed that the film's production is "not an if, it's a when", and confrims that the first film's lead actors Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are "excited" for the sequel.
Liman will once again direct the film, with Erwin Stoff and Tom Lassally set to produce the film. In addition, Joe Shrapnel (Race, Frankie & Alice) and Anna Waterhouse (Race, On the Shoulder of Giants) will write the upcoming film with Edge of Tomorrow screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie (Rogue Nation) in talks to produce the film, and develop the script with Shrapnel and Waterhouse.
