It was announced at the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary live stream that Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation game will get a HD-2D remake.
Originally released in the NES in 1988, the game takes place years prior to the events of the original Dragon Quest game and follows the hero Erdrick and his party as they are tasked with saving the world from the archfiend Baramos.
As the name suggest, the game will feature a new HD-2D art style, which features sprite-based art for the characters, but with 3D backgrounds and dynamic lighting and effects, which is similar to Octopath Traveler. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will get a simultaneous worldwide release on home consoles soon.
