What makes the Dethgalien game interesting in this episode is that it played with our basic human instinct of searching for our love ones with a classic game of Old Maid. It gets more interesting when Trumpus "shuffles" those humans around in different directions, causing the victims to search for their friends or love ones with the same card on their heads. This is when it gets interesting, once they meet and it just happens that they have the same card pattern on their head, they'll get electrocuted, and the only way to stop it is to destroy Trumpus' deck that's attached to him. This is when the Sela stuff starts to kick in.
Thankfully, because of Yamato's uncle thinking the most obvious solution to the problem, namely just changing the symbol of the card into something else, and the test with Yamato and Sela was successful, Sela was able to reunite the kid with his dad. What I love about this solution is that this is most obvious solution to the problem and the one who thought about it is Yamato's uncle, the same uncle who likes to dress-up into different animals, the same guy who had a cool moment in the previous episode. Not Tusk (the smart one) or Sela (the one focused in this episode), but Mario, it's like the show wants us to care for him outside the previous episode and I got to admit, it worked.
JoJokes aside, I love that the first thing they point out is how this was impossible. I mean, Bird-Man has the other Champion's Symbol and this new guy looks like a Zyuohger. When the Zyuohgers learned that he was created by Genis, they just stopped asking and start to fight the guy, and boy, just like all Sixth Hero debuts in the franchise, he showed his power and beat the crap out of the team. For starters, I love The World's design, the black helmet and the suit highlighting his three zyuman powers looks really great. You can get this feeling that this guy is a badass and can easily beat you, then he delivered and starts kicking the team's asses without breaking the sweat, heck, it feels like that he's complaining that these guys are weaker than him!
To make us care more about The World, in just one swoop, he beat all five Zyuohgers, and the episode ends at that point on. No epilogue scene wherein the kid thanked Sela for helping him reunite with his dad, no scene of them smiling and walking towards the sunset, what we got is The World victorious, Trumpus escaping as he plans to make Dethgalien great again, and that uncertainty that our heroes might not survive the next episode, especially after seeing the preview for the next episode. To put it simply, new toys means it's a guaranteed victory for The World.
