More on the said episode, giving Leo the focus this time was a smart move. The previous episodes were too heavy when it comes to character development for Tusk and Yamato that it makes sense for them to have this kind of filler episode. Anyway, Leo befriend other humans was something that I find really interesting. It showed us an aspect of Leo that was controlled in the previous episodes unleashed right in front of us. That aspect of him is his fun side. He loves to dance to good music and is not afraid to express how much he loves it. If this is the result of a zyuman interacting with another human not named Yamato, I am in for more episodes featuring any of the zyuman Zyuohgers making friends with other humans.
Anyway, this fun was interrupted thanks to the player of the week, a bike-themed monster whose weapon is noise pollution. The concept of a noise pollution monster that can turn people wild sounds stupid on paper, but the execution of it in this episode was really great. It was wild, and pretty much sums up what happens to most civilized humans once they are stuck in traffic, that is if you remove the civilized part of it. Thankfully, Leo arrives and since he is still wearing headphones, he's not affected by the noise pollution.
Thanks to this, he was able to warn his teammates about it, but since Sela has sensitive ears, the attack still has an effect on her. This is the part of the episode that made me wonder why this is not a Sela episode. I mean, we got a player who pretty much destroyed Sela's pride because of one dumb sound attack and as seen later in the episode, she's hungry for revenge against this guy that she actually prepared countermeasures against his sound attacks. But it's what Leo's actions later in the episode that made this episode his.
The next day, Sela shows off the method on how she can muffle the sound... and that is by wearing a silk scarf on top of her headphones and wearing a helmet on top of it. To further soundproof it, she transforms into Zyuoh Shark, which creates another helmet inside the soundproof helmet. It sounds and looks stupid, but who cares her method work and for at least 5 minutes, we got to see this ridiculous looking Zyuoh Shark. Granted, she didn't do much, but it was fun while it lasted. As for the rest of her team, the player got upgrades and they are now affected by his noise pollution. Thankfully, Leo arrives just in time to cancel out the noise and show off why he is the loudest Zyuohger.
The giant battle continues to stay impressive and they were able to top it off by having both Zyuoh King and Zyuoh Wild together in battle. Granted, it was only for a short period of time, but they were able to utilize it in its fullest. Makes me wish the next Zyuoh King and Zyuoh Wild team-up will be longer. As for the double finisher, it did its job. It's not that satisfying compared to some of the double finishers that I saw, but this would suffice.
When Leo did his scream of joy, and we cut back to the frame that I described, the right side of the frame features a Sela almost fainting from said scream. It looks really hilarious and was a good lead to the next gag that increases Leo's loudness, which leads to Sela actually fainting and us, getting a good look at a faint. This my friends is how you do a good gag. Hopefully the series will continue to be consistent when it comes to attention to detail. It's with small details like this that makes every rewatch of a show more interesting.
