The official Power Rangers Instagram page announced that actor Darce Montgomery (Family Tree Pilot Trailer) will star in the 2017 Power Rangers film as the Red Ranger!
Other details such as his civilian identity is yet to be revealed. Montgomery is the 2nd actor announced for the said film. The first being Naomi Scott (Terra Nova, The Martian) who will play the Pink Ranger for the film.
The 2017 Power Rangers film will start filming on January 18, 2016.
The upcoming film, which is rumored to be based on the original Mighty Moprhin Power Rangers TV series is directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) with scripts written by X-Men: First Class' Ashely Miller and Zack Stentz.
Power Rangers is set for a January 13, 2017 release.
