It was announced that the Cyborg 009 manga will get a stage play adaptation simply titled Cyborg 009 the Stage.
Based on Shotaro Ishinomori's manga of the same name, the story follows nine people who were turned into cyborg soldiers by the evil Black Ghost organization who seeks to lock the world into eternal war. These nine cyborgs rebel and fight said evil organization.
Playing said cyborgs are: Hiroki Nanami (Touken Ranbu) as Joe Shimamura/009, Shunichi Takahashi (Tokyo Vampire Hotel) as Jet Link/002, Minori Otoha (The Yagyu Ninja Scrolls) as Françoise Arnoul/003, Masamichi Satonaka (Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle - Rule the Stage) as Albert Heinrich/004, Haruto Sakuraba (Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!!) as Geronimo Jr./005, Toshiya Sakai (Sona Otoko Fuku Shocho) as Chang Changku/006, Kazuma Kawahara (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Great Britain/007, and Toyotaka as Pyunma/008.
Playing members of the Black Ghost faction are: Ryo Takizawa (Real Fighting Hajime no Ippo: The Glorious Stage!!) as Plus/0010, as well as Shiki; Rita Aizawa as Minus/0010, as well as Riku; Hiroo Ohtaka (GoGo Sentai Boukenger) as Isaac Gilmore, the creator of Cyborg 009; HILOMU, Dolton, KIMUTAKU, KENTA, GeN, Katoh Takahiko, and Ryota Kamiya as Black Ghost soldiers.
