The official Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime website has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series. The trailer features the anime's opening theme "Baton Road" by KANA-BOON.
The show will also feature the song "Dreamy Johnny" by The Peggies as the show's ending theme.
The series will feature an original story and the cast of the Boruto: Naruto the Movie will reprise their roles for the new anime. Namely: Yuko Sanpei as Boruto Uzumaki, Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada Uchiha, Ryuichi Kijima as Mitsuki, and Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki.
The series will be animated by Studio Pierrot and with Naruto Shippuden episode director Noriyuki Abe serving as the chief director, and Hiroyuki Yamashita (Boruto: Naruto the Movie) as one of the directors. Boruto manga author Ukyo Kodachi will supervise the story with scripts by Makoto Uezu (My Bride is a Mermaid). The characters are designed by Tetsuya Nishio and Hirofumi Suzuki, with Hideyuki Ueno (Ace of Diamond, NANA) serving as art director, and Yasushi Nagura (The Future Diary) as sound director).
